The Villages on Maple located in Lisle, Illinois is managed by B & A Property Group, based here in the Greater Chicago Land area; is looking for an individual who is interested in advancing their career in property management. This individual must have excellent organizational and people skills as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel to join our leasing team.
SUMMARY:
Leasing Consultants are tasked with effectively marketing the property and maintaining high occupancy of qualified residents. They are the first impression of the property and must present a high level of professionalism.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
- Must have proven customer service and/or sales experience (leasing preferred but not required);
- Must be very organized, professional, friendly, enthusiastic and self-motivated;
- Knowledge of basic math, and general office technology skills preferred;
- Must be able to work in a fast paced working environment;
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision;
- Must be able to work weekends.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Provide excellent service to residents, prospects, vendors, visitors, and other customers;
- Conduct building tours for prospective residents and input traffic into software daily;
- Lease apartments in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by management;
- Accurately enter new lease information into computer system;
- Prepare, maintain, and manage new and existing lease files;
- Assist in move-in / move-out process;
- Receive and enter resident service requests;
- Assist with resident programs and retention strategies;
- Assist maintenance team with ordering supplies;
- Assist property manager with purchase orders;
- Assist property manager and co-workers in the management and operations of the property;
- Maintain confidentiality in all job responsibilities as it pertains to staff and tenants;
- Follow policies and procedures while complying with Fair Housing, state and federal laws.
